Digital Ad Trust Certification
The Digital Ad Trust is committed to quality and transparency in digital advertising. The aim is to show advertisers and agencies that certified websites adhere to the agreed objectives and guidelines and that they are able to demonstrate this. For certification, 20 Minutes uses a third-party tool accredited by the MRC.
The certification covers the areas of visibility, brand safety, ad fraud and user experience (UX).

Visibility
An ad impression is considered viewable if at least 50 per cent of the advertising material was in the browser's field of vision for at least 1 second. We show the viewability values for each product in our product list and aim for the values to be above the specified 60 % on average. The certification in the area of visibility confirms that 20 Minutes achieves and demonstrates the specified targets.

Brand safety
Brand safety refers to the display of advertising on websites that comply with legal and brand standards. This is intended to prevent advertising from being displayed in environments that jeopardise the image or violate the law. The certification in the area of brand safety confirms that 20 Minutes offers a safe and compliant advertising environment. In addition, we enable our advertisers to use brand safety targeting.

Ad fraud
Ad fraud refers to invalid or manipulated advertising contacts caused by fraudulent methods or faulty systems. A general distinction can be made between two types of invalid traffic: General Invalid Traffic (GIVT) and Sophisticated Invalid Traffic (SIVT). The certification in the area of ad fraud confirms that the proportion of SIVT is less than 2 % over 20 minutes.

User experience (UX)
In order to ensure a good user experience, 20 Minutes takes care to avoid disruptive advertising formats, ad clutter limits are adhered to and advertising is always labelled as such. The certification in the area of user experience confirms that 20 Minuten fulfils the requirements for a good user experience.
